Okay...I am in no means an ITK but have heard from a very reliable source that a deal is pretty much done for Scott Hogan (the Brentford striker). I am not sure if this is for Jan or in the Summer, but he met with Slav & Sullivan before Christmas, everything has been agreed and just medical to complete. Fee around £13mill (again, no idea whether this involves add-ons etc, presume it does).
This comes directly from a Brentford player who obviously knows Hogan. Happy to share my source with mods/admin if needs be.
As always with these things, please don't shoot the messenger, just passing on the info. I'm always the first to say until its on the official site then it might not happen, but source seemed very confident that it was 99% done deal.

All I heard from here was that he has had a couple of bad injuries and has scored in the lower leagues

I've never seen him play but if Leipzig are after him that's a good sign, their youth scouts seem to be doing a great job

Crassus. No idea. All I can tell you is what I’ve gleaned from the replies to that fella’s post. That he’s done the anterior cruciate ligament twice in the same knee, and that his shot accuracy stats are decent compared to what we already have..

Seen him for Brentford.
A goalscorer and little more, in the mould of Jordan Rhodes or Baldock.
Big step up required if this comes off.

Cough you're wasted on here
I watched him against Norwich the other day before going out and was unimpressed, appreciate it was just one game but not a great threat and did little outside other the box other than continually attempt to run off the last defender

I watched Hogan play for Brentford against Sheffield Wednesday back in August. Wed should have been 5-0 at half time but couldn't finish.
Brentford were woeful and I think Hogan scored when the keeper kicked the ball against his arse and it went in. I was behind the goal and the abuse the keeper got last 10 minutes.
The only other thing I remember Hogan for is getting a second yellow for a stupid foul out on the left wing when Brentford were 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go.
Wednesday scored from th fre kick.

Was unsure about him having watched the clips.
Having thought about it he is a bit like Jordan Rhodes and Sam Baldock with pace about somewhere between those two extremes.
If I had to decide I would say he lacks that extra factor that you saw with someone like Ashton in the Championship.
Given the knee injuries and the price getting up to £15m with Leipzig involved I would pass.
